IBPS Specialist Officers

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various cadres like IT, Technical, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR, etc. and also in Rashtrabhasha in 19 Public Sector Banks. The Common Written Examination (CWE) for Specialist officers will be conducted twice a year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The following are the Eligibility Details…

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality/Citizenship: Candidate must be a Citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:
(i) For I.T. Officer (Scale I & II): Any Degree from a recognized University having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
(ii) For Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): Degree in Agriculture or allied specializations from Recognized University.
(iii) For Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): A PG Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level OR a PG degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level.
(iv) For Law Officer (Scale I & II): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB).
(v) For Technical Officer (Scale I): Degree in Engineering.
(vi) For HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Any Degree from a recognized university and PG degree or diploma recognized by AICTE in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HRD/Social Work / Labour Law from a recognized University.
(vii) For Marketing Officer (Scale I): MBA (Marketing) / 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM or any other equivalent degree or diploma with specialization in Marketing from a recognized University/ Institution.

Exam Pattern
 Selection will be made on Written Examination. The structure of the Written Examination may be conducted either in online/offline & is as follows…
1. All the Tests will be in Objective Type & is printed in Bilingual Format, except for English Paper.

2. The Specialist Officers Common Written Examination consists of 200 Objective Type Questions, each question carries one mark totally 200 marks and the time duration is 120 minutes.

5. Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer in objective type Exam. If for any question a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong Answer.

6. Cutoff Score: Each candidate will have to secure a minimum standardized score in each of the tests to qualify in the written examination and to be considered for vacancies in the participating banks. The cut-off points will be decided based on the average.

7. CWE Score Card: IBPS will print the Score Cards for each of the qualifying candidates only and will send the same by Registered/ Speed post to each candidate at the correspondence address specified in his/ her online application.

8. Validity of Score Card: Score Cards issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the Score Card.
